We fell in love with Philodendron rugosum last year when we stocked them not have struggled to source many since.
Not described to science until 1983, Philodendron rugosum is now officially designated as a "near threatened" species. This plant has been grown from a cutting, it is not wild collected.
The leaf blades have a thick leathery texture which has led to the common name of Pig Skin or Pig Ear Philodendron.
Very easy to grow although this does prefer a more shaded spot.
This is the largest rugosum we have stocked.
