We fell in love with Philodendron rugosum last year when we stocked them but have been unable to find any more....until now.
Not described to science until 1983, Philodendron rugosum is now officially designated as a "near threatened" species.
The leaf blades have a thick leathery texture which has led to the common name of Pig Skin or Pig Ear Philodendron especially in the wild.
Very easy to grow although this does prefer a more shaded spot.
The new leaf that has just unforled has a small fault but plant is 100% happy and healthy.
