Musa sikkimensis ‘Bengal Tiger’ is a root hardy banana plant that has the most amazing red streaks on its deep green leaves. The undersides are a wonderful maroon.

We have grown these bananas for many years ourselves and have found them to be just as hardy as the Musa Basjoo. If the main stem is lost over winter, new plants will be produced from the base. Or to keep the height you could protect the stem by wrapping in fleece during the coldest weeks.

These plants have just been re-potted into 9cm pots.
